THE WALKER ART GALLERY, PICTON READING ROOM AND STEBLE FOUNTAIN
The Picton Reading Room was the first public building in Liverpool to be lit by electric lighting when it iopened in 1879. The Walker Art Gallery opened two years earlier in 1877. The Fountain was a gift from Lieut. Colonel RF Steble in 1877.
